How to revalidate an e-ticket in Galileo

You are only able to revalidate an e-ticket if the status of the coupon is OPEN or ARPT.

Points to note:
  • If there is any fee to be paid for changing the reservation, the transaction must be handled as a reissue
  • If you revalidate an e-ticket for British Airways (BA) or Finnair (AY) the system will automatically generate an SSR ticket number notification to the airline using the code TKNE. Additional airlines may be added in due course

The appropriate electronic ticket record must be displayed before a revalidation request is made. To retrieve the e- ticket from the Booking File enter: *HTE.

You must revalidate each segment and flight coupon separately.

Example format to revalidate segment/coupon 2:

TKRETS2/TN1259900281382/C2

TKR Ticket revalidation function identifier
ET E-ticket
S2/ Booking File segment 2 and separator
TN125…/ Ticket number including the airline code and separator
C2 Ticket coupon 2

Note: To revalidate a ticket for an infant, enter IN after TN, e.g. TKRETS2/TNIN1259900281382/C2.

Revalidation Specifying Validity Dates

Additionally, the new validity dates may be appended to the revalidation. Enter:

TKRETS2/TN1251234567890/C2/NVB21MAY09/NVA21MAY09

TKRETS2/ Revalidate e-ticket Booking File segment 2 and separator
TN125…/ Ticket number including the airline code and separator
C2/ Ticket coupon 2 and separator
NVB21…. Amended not valid before and not valid after dates

Points to note
  • The new validity dates may not necessarily be reflected in the ETR display. Update is dependant on individual airlines
  • Be sure to check that the *SI field still contains the ticket numbers for each passenger and segment after you have made changes to the Booking File. If information has dropped out of the Booking File you must manually re-enter it.
